Have you hugged your pug today?

As I reflect on my 38th year (today is my birthday if you are anyone but my family reading this)....I am reminded that my life is one big analogy. That saying you see on needlepoint pillows: "I want to be the kind of person my dog thinks I am" is about THE. MOST. HONEST. TAKE. ON. MY. LIFE.

I didn't grow up with dogs. I was forced into them---another reason my husband is still the best thing that ever happened to me.

Some days I think they (the dogs) are the only ones that understand me. Of course, (not unlike Grady and the boys) I am also the only person that understands them as well. I know when and how and where they like to eat. I know when and where and how much they need to do their business. I know when they need their quiet time, play time, snuggle time. Oddly, they know when I need mine. Meet the puggies. They've stolen my heart and everyone they've met. Wouldn't trade them for a million $$. My loves....

Amanda, what a beautiful family!! You are such a sweet person. I have enjoyed working with you and your pets over the years. You said some great things and I wanted to comment on them. Like you, my dogs are my life, they understand me when no one else does... and the most loyal of anyone I have ever encountered. DOGS ARE GREAT!! Thanks for the great words, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
