The Stepford Wives....

....must do laundry here, because no real wife or mom looks like she's ever really worked up a sweat in this one. Though, I could really sort some lights and darks in here--on 2nd thought it's so spa like--the darks would get their feelings hurt because the lights would talk about them behind their backs. A girl can dream...

You know, you really do talk about laundry a lot.

I miss those days when I just stopes mine off with Wanda in the mornings and picked them up in the afternoon, all sparkly clean and folded.

Maybe I'll name my maytag Wanda. Don't know why I hadn't thought of that before. My nav system has a name--Twinkie. She's sort of bitchy though--gets in a tither and wants me to make u-turns all over creation. Wanda though--she stays the course--even when getting off balance--like it--she's growing on me. Thanks!

I miss Wanda so much.

I loved your laundry room, too, though. It's so tidy.

What are you reading these days?

Freedom--johnathon Franzen--big tome of a book, just started. Recommend--Sanctuary of Outcasts--Neil White. You?

I've just cried my way through the end of "I Thought You Were Dead." I think you'd like it, and I'm glad I read it.

Let me know if you like Freedom. I had to put it down.

Did you read The Help? Loved it!

Loved The Help. I went to the pre-school (Broadmoor Baptist Church) and the Elementary School (Spann E.S) the main character's lil girl went to. I was in Greenwood MS while it was being filmed. I think movie comes out this month. It was a fun read.

The Help describes my early childhood perfectly. I just loved it.

I can't wait for the movie.

Sanctuary of Outcasts was great recommendation - I downloaded it immediately and am well into it already.

Are you using an e-reader yet? I have an iPad, and I have read more books in the 10 months I've had it than in the last two years before.

I miss our old book club, or rather, I miss the you and me part of bookclub - we seemed to have been on a different channel from everybody else. We should have just had a drinking club.
