Does the laundry fairy....

...in this house really sort the laundry according to each member of the family?

THEN does aforementioned family member take their own personal basket to their room?

THEN does family member put up laundry?

THEN does the laundry fairy meet family member back in the laundry room to replace empty basket in the proper slot?

When I find this laundry fairy, I will bottle her and poke holes in the top of the jar. She belongs in the Laundry Olympics.

I believe in the laundry fairy. I also believe in the tooth fairy. However, I haven't lost a tooth since I had my wisdom teeth out when I was 16, which was about the last time anybody else voluntarily did my laundry for me.

Maybe she comes back when you're elderly and your children start taking care of you again, in which case I'm still screwed, on account of I've got no children.

I like to keep up with home trends, and in some new houses, they're putting little stackable washers and dryers in each closet, so (in theory) each person can wash his or her own clothes and then put them right away. I think that's a great idea, except nobody would sort their whites from their coloreds, and people would just run the dryer again every morning to iron what they want to wear, and then at night, they'd use the washer for a dirty clothes basket. Which, now that I think about it, doesn't sound like such a bad idea.

I still miss Wanda.
